Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit the website, request a quote or contact us, why we do it, and what rights you have.
Data controller
Promont Service AS, org. no. 938 742 391, Havrenesvegen 54, 6905 Florø, Norway, is responsible for the processing described here. Privacy questions can be sent to post@promontservice.no.
What data we process
When you send the quote form, we receive your name, phone number and/or email address, postcode, type of job and the description you write. Please don’t include sensitive information, such as health data, in the description.
When you call or email us, we process the information you choose to give us.
Purpose and legal basis
We use the data to reply to your enquiry, assess the job and give you a price quote. The legal basis is that you ask us to do this before any contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
If we agree on a job, we use the data to carry it out. We keep accounting records because the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act requires it (Article 6(1)(c)).
Who processes the data for us
We don’t sell personal data or share it with others for their own purposes. These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements:
- Cloudflare, Inc. – runs the website and receives the form.
- Resend – delivers the form to us by email.
- [Email provider] – stores the email we receive.
Cloudflare and Resend may process data in the United States. These transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep the data
Enquiries that don’t lead to a job are deleted no later than [12 months] after our last contact. If we take on the job, we keep the data as long as needed to carry it out and handle any complaints, and accounting records for five years as the Bookkeeping Act requires.
Cookies and tracking
The website uses no cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts are served from our own server, not from third parties.
Like all web traffic, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address when the page loads, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. These logs are kept briefly.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, ask us to restrict processing, object to processing, and ask for your data in a portable format. Email post@promontservice.no and we will reply within 30 days.
If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
Changes
We update this policy when needed. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
